In collaboration with UKTI we will be holding a free conference on the 8th May 2013 titled Exporting Design ‘Made in Somerset and Devon’ – the free event will aim to introduce individuals and businesses delivering textile and traditional skill based work and products across Somerset & Devon to export and business development opportunities. The conference will be held at the Conference Centre at Somerset College from 9.30 until 4.30 and we are able to offer exhibition opportunities to ten organisations with stands – it will be free to exhibit but be sure to register your interest quickly to avoid disappointment. Superact and the UKTI welcome you to our trade and investment day. We will be offering an informative, valuable event to individuals and businesses delivering textile and traditional skill based work and products across Somerset & Devon
There will be guest speakers including the UK Fashion and Textile Association and the Heritage Craft Association.
We will be delivering workshops and 121 meetings in the afternoon on:
- Export and business development opportunities
- Finding apprentices and linking into the South West HE & FE networks
- Using your creative practice in community health settings
