Ali Smith, Superact CEO, has been made an ambassador for The Chaffinch Trust.
Commenting on the appointment, Ali Smith said, “I’m honoured to be made an ambassador for the Chaffinch Trust. I look forward to helping progress its work in challenging areas, particularly their current work in creating long term educational programmes for Syrian refugees in Lebanon.”
The Chaffinch Trust
The Chaffinch Trust was established to develop initiatives and projects that support and encourage the disadvantaged to meet the challenges they face because of poverty and lack of opportunity. Projects work to support and encourage those who live in disadvantaged areas on low incomes and lacking opportunity.
The charity has worked for over five years with HRH The Princess Royal as Guardian of the Chaffinch Trust. Their work is all over the world in Kenya, Cambodia, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Malawi, Nepal, the Yemen and across the UK.
Ali is set to travel to Beirut later this month on behalf of The Chaffinch Trust where she will support ongoing efforts with Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Ali is also there to support ongoing activity on Creative Europe project Future DiverCities. German partner Public Art Lab will host a live networked performance of Digital Calligraffiti between Berlin and Beirut. This is to celebrate the launch of the Goethe Institute Beirut.
