Exe-Arts celebrates Community creativity with Christmas Festival!

Our Exe-Arts project has gone out with a bang, with a celebration of all the work which has been created by participants over the past three months! On Saturday we held a Festival with an exhibition, film screenings, Christmas craft workshops, and Lantern Parade to finish it all off.

Many children and adults alike attended to see their work displayed, enjoy festive food & drink, and sit down for one last workshop creating fanciful Christmas decorations and cards.

We ended our celebration with a wonderful Lantern Parade from Exeter Community Centre up to the High street and through the European Market. We brought smiles to many faces including our own, and photos were snapped by bystanders.

There is great enthusiasm for Exe-Arts amongst the participants because it has allowed people of all ages to try out creative activity in a relaxed atmosphere, at a very minimal cost. It has brought together many members of the community allowing them to meet each other in a friendly gathering. People have discovered their creative selves, the Exeter Community Centre, and each other. Superact hopes to secure additional funding to continue this in 2016.
