Stu catches up with a story-sharer

Superact project, Aladdin and the Intergenerational Lamp is offering storytelling skills to young people in Exeter, aged 18-30.

What is on offer?

Three storytelling workshops will be delivered by specially trained ‘Elders’ from Exeter, local retirees invested in sharing their stories and lifting the lives of young adults. The workshops are designed to aid young people using applied storytelling techniques, to raise their confidence by empowering them to confidently tell their own stories. This has been proven to improve communication skills and employability prospects.

Storyteller, actor and Superact Project Manager for the Aladdin Project, Stu Packer commented, “When young people mix and connect with the Elders of the Human Tribe, magic can happen. Knowledge, experience and wisdom is shared. This is wonderful opportunity to share stories between different generations  and creatively lift lives.”
